Letter From The President

Season’s Greetings!

Well, we've weathered this tough year which started with a lot of snow. Special thanks to those who helped friends and neighbors with their snow removal. Please continue that great tradition this year as well.

Next we had our annual meeting in late April, which was well attended but we would like to see more. At the meeting we discussed road and drainage projects with the help of Bill Morgan (Libertyville Township Highway Department, superintendent), pond cleanup dates for the summer, area beautification (ie. front signs), Community Garage sale and Community Picnic just to name a few. I would like to see all of you at our next annual meeting because your input is important, please watch for information coming in the next few months.

As your community association, we have been able to guide some of your neighbors through home projects with help in permitting, finding reputable contractors, etc. Please feel free to contact any of us on the board with questions or suggestions.

Thank you for your continuing support and I wish you all the best during this Holiday Season.

ALERT

Countryside Manor has had at least three dogs snatched by coyotes while the owners were present. Two from one family just two days apart, and one in a fenced backyard. In the backyard episode, the coyote tried to jump the fence and lost the dog in the process. It survived after an approx. $2300 vet bill was incurred. Please be aware that coyotes are getting more and more aggressive. A quick scour of the internet provided the following advice for dealing with coyotes:

If you do encounter coyotes in your yard or while walking your pets, and can not avoid confrontation, keep in mind that it is illegal to discharge firearms within Lake County. Some actions that you can take are:
